The height of the Sochi’s mountain is 633m above the sea level. The mountain can be seen from every part of Sochi. There is a Watch Tower on the top of the mountain. The Tower was built in 1935. It is possible to climb to the top of the Tower, where you could see a wonderful view of the Greater Caucasian Mountain Range, the city of Sochi, coastline and the Black Sea.
Krasnaya Polyana is 70km away from the Sochi. It is surrounded by colorful mountains with height up to 2500 m. Mountains make the unique microclimate in this site. The winter is mild without hard frosts but with snowfalls. These climatic conditions make Krasnaya Polyana an excellent mountain-skiing place which attracts numerous holiday-makers.
Olympic park is one of the main venues of the winter Olympics 2014 in Sochi. The Olympic park houses the main sports facilities that hosted ice hockey, speed skating, short track, figure skating, curling competitions as well as opening and closing ceremonies of the XXII Winter Olympic Games. The Olympic park is also amazing at night!
Stalin’s dacha was built in 1937 in Zelenaya Roshcha. The villa is located at the top of the mountain range. The political leaders and heads of state loved to rest in this beautiful place. The dacha’s interior have been saved in their original form and have not been modified. Walking inside the building, you can see the desk of Joseph Stalin, the carpet on which he walked, family photos, leather sofa and the fireplace.
Dendrarium (Botanical Garden)
The park has around 400 species of trees and shrubs. This park was built in the style of Franco-Italian terrace parks of the end of the 19th century. The plants were brought from botanical gardens of Germany, Caucasus, Crimea.
